Is flooding increasing?

The Met Office started naming storms that hit the UK in 2015. This is done to bring more attention to the storms in the media and make sure people are aware of the seriousness and potential danger of these storms. Research into climate change and the impacts demonstrates that a major flooding incident should now be expected in the UK every year.

Could be a lot more said here about climate change/emergency/ crisis and attribution to human activity, but I think save it for another module
